Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a short, simple and very common procedure that allows the specialist to observe the inside of the body without performing major surgery using a thin lighted fiberscope known as the endoscope.
General Surgery
MINOR PLASTIC SKIN CANCER SURGERY
Most skin cancers are removed surgically by a Specialist Plastic Surgeon. If the cancer is small, the procedure may be a simple excision, which usually leaves a thin, barely visible scar. For a suspected melanoma, the surgeon may remove all or part of the lesion. It is then sent to a laboratory so a pathologist can examine it under a microscope. Depending on the pathologist's report, a wider excision may be recommended.
Eye Surgery
In cataract surgery, the lens inside your eye that has become cloudy is removed and replaced with an artificial lens (called an intraocular lens, or IOL) to restore clear vision. The procedure typically is performed at the day hospital and does not require an overnight stay in a hospital or other care facility
